Clogged Drain? We'll Clear It Fast

A kitchen sink full of standing water. A shower that won’t drain and pools around your ankles. When a drain backs up, the whole house feels like it grinds to a halt. At Arctic Air & Plumbing, we track down what’s causing it and give you a price before any work starts.

We clear drains for homeowners and businesses across the Antelope Valley, and the area’s quirks matter. Older Lancaster homes near The BLVD fight hard-water buildup and aging pipes. Rosamond’s rural properties run longer sewer laterals. Acton’s hillside lots rely on gravity-fed sewer systems that roots love, and Tehachapi’s cold winters add freeze risk. Knowing what each area does to a drain helps us find the cause faster.

A few things you can count on before we ever open a drain:

  • Upfront pricing before work begins. You know the cost before we touch a single pipe.
  • Background-checked plumbers. Every plumber on our team has been vetted, so you know who is coming into your home.
  • No deposit required. We don’t ask for money up front to get on the schedule.
  • Plumbers who know the Antelope Valley. We work on the hard-water scale and shifting clay soil these homes deal with every day.

No surprise bills and no runaround, just a straight answer and a fix that lasts. If we don’t fix it right, you don’t pay.

Emergency Drain Cleaning: Arctic Has You Covered

A drain that backs up late at night can flood a kitchen or bathroom long before morning. We keep plumbers on call around the clock, 365 days a year, so a drain that fails at midnight gets answered at midnight.

We’re open 24/7 for emergency drain cleaning. Call right away when you run into any of these:

  • Sewage backing up into a tub, shower, or floor drain.
  • More than one drain in the house backing up at the same time.
  • Water rising in the tub or shower whenever you flush a toilet.
  • A main line clog that has left you with no usable drains.

Our goal is a plumber at your door within 60 minutes during business hours, and as fast as possible after hours. No overtime surcharges. No emergency upcharge. The price we quote is the price you pay.

Do NOT use this company!
A picture is worth a thousand words - please read this and check out my pictures before you call this company! We have been customers of Arctic Air for years and this is the installation they performed at our home. Incomplete wiring, pieces taped in place, instead of fully removing the old unit the new swamp cooler is taped to pieces of the old unit - since this was done on our roof, we might have never known how bad the installation was but it caused a leak in our living room and we’ve been stuck in a nightmare ever since.
If we want repairs done through them then we just need to sign a form releasing them of all liability - would you sign off on a company that performed THIS work to come fix it?
• This was installed 6/6
• Arctic Air performed repairs on the new unit on 6/8 (it was flooding our side yard due to an incorrect valve placement)
• There was a leak in our living room on 6/14 and an Arctic Air tech confirmed it was their responsibility and management would follow up
To date, we are still going back and forth while things stay broken and damaged in our home. Save yourself this trouble!

Thanks for the response Arctic Air - as of 07/08/26, our request was not approved by management. If they have changed their mind, we would appreciate a commitment in writing (via email).

Called @ 4pm with a non emergency repair. My plumbing was completely repaired the very next day. Professional, friendly and a pure delight to work with. In the end I included an annual service. Josh and Jonathan are the best. Being able to trust the work and the people is everything. I understand all the 5 star reviews. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

They just keep getting better! I know it can be difficult in these times to trust companies to truly take care of you, do solid work, all at a fair price, but this company does! Had Joe come out and inspect my A/C unit. He was very thoughtful, complete and accommodating. 5 star is not enough. He gave some great recommendations without any high pressure sales and I am completely happy with adding these features to my home through the best A/C company I have worked with by far. Call them, use them and find trust again! Thank you Joe!

I have used these guys several times and they are great. Highly recommend. Today, Joseph didn't disappoint. He explained everything clearly. Great experience. He warned us about old components that need to be replaced and gave us estimates and the approximate time it takes to complete each job. For HVAC and plumbing I recommend Artic Air.

Jonathan was amazing! I live out of the state so he was in the house without super. He called, texted, and FaceTimed me during work. He took before pictures and provided plenty of videos of his work and sent them to me as things were being fixed. He was very knowledgeable and showed a deep concern for me as the customer. He displayed exceptional customer service and didn’t appear to inflate costs or try to push services that I didn’t need. He was honest and did a great job! Artic Air communicated with me and was able to get my issues resolved within 24 hours of me scheduling the appointment. I would definitely recommend Artic Air and Jonathan specifically!!

I can't say enough about Arctic air! We live way up in the mountains in Tehachapi, and they had no problem coming to our house. They are high-tech, personable, efficient and extremely professional. Both Gabriel and Lazaro were amazing, diagnosed the problem, did some troubleshooting, and took care of everything. They even had recommendations for what to do in the near future. I will not hesitate to call them again or to recommend them fully! Well done guys!!

Miguel was nice but the service itself definitely seemed like a scam. Had I known he wasn’t going to do anything I would have never agreed to pay the $99. He attempted to charge almost $1400 to replace 4 items that cost around $120 for all. He informed me that labor itself was $180. I then asked how much it would be if I aid for the parts separate and just paid the labor. Mind you this was after I paid the $99 and he sent me an invoice that totaled to $522. I don’t see how the labor went up that much when he’s servicing the same parts. This company definitely does not seem like an honest company nor is it reasonable. For that amount I could just buy a new one. I asked for the parts I needed and it literally came out to $120.44 for all 4 parts. I also did review the invoice and there’s no detailed price aside anything. I understand this is a business but this seems beyond unreasonable and a waste a money. I will not be recommending and I hope you learn to do right by your customers.

Our 24 year old wall heater was replaced Dec 22 2025 by Samuel and Miguel. They were on time, finished in shorter time than estimated, clean, professional, and provided lots of answers to our multiple questions.
The gentleman that came out the week before to diagnose the problem gave us same info as the So Cal Gas representative. But, in addition to saying we were fortunate to be alive and should keep the heater pilot off, he came back the next day with a portable heater for our use until new heater could be installed on Monday .

Drain Cleaning Services We Provide in Lancaster and the Surrounding Area

Every clog is different. A grease buildup in your kitchen calls for a different approach than tree roots in your main sewer line, so we carry the equipment for all of it on one truck. That means no return trips and no waiting on a second crew.

  • Drain Snaking and Rooter Service.

This is the most common fix for a standard household clog. Our plumbers run a motorized auger to break through blockages caused by hair, soap, food waste, and debris. For most single-fixture clogs in kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms, snaking clears the problem quickly and gets the drain flowing again fast.
  • Hydro Jetting.

For stubborn clogs, recurring backups, and heavy buildup, hydro jetting goes further. A specialized nozzle blasts high-pressure water (up to 4,000 PSI) through your pipes and scours the interior walls clean. It clears grease, mineral scale, soap residue, and even tree roots. Snaking punches a hole through the blockage; hydro jetting cleans the full diameter of the pipe back to near-original condition. For homes dealing with our hard-water scale, a hydro jetting service typically lasts a good deal longer than snaking alone.
  • Sewer Camera Inspection.

Before we recommend anything on a serious clog, we want to see what we are dealing with. Our plumbers run a waterproof, high-resolution camera through your drain lines in real time, and you watch the footage on the monitor right alongside the plumber. That is how we recommend the right fix and skip work you don’t need. After cleaning, we run the camera through again to confirm the line is clear.
  • Main Sewer Line Cleaning.

When more than one drain backs up at the same time, the trouble is usually in your main sewer line. Watch for gurgling toilets, sewage odors near your cleanout, or water rising in the tub when you flush. We clear main line clogs caused by root intrusion, grease accumulation, pipe bellying, and deteriorated sections, on lines up to 6 inches in diameter.
  • Commercial Drain Cleaning.

Our drain work goes well beyond single-family homes. We service apartments, condos, mobile homes, restaurants, retail spaces, offices, and HOA properties. Commercial kitchens in particular need regular drain maintenance to stay ahead of grease-trap problems and code issues. Whatever the building type, we have the equipment and the licensing to do the job.

Common Drain Problems We Fix Every Day

Most of the calls we run come down to a handful of familiar culprits. Here is what tends to go wrong and why:

  • Kitchen Drains.

Grease, cooking oil, food scraps, and soap residue coat the inside of kitchen drain pipes over time. That buildup hardens and narrows the opening until water can barely pass. Running hot water after pouring grease down the drain does not prevent it, because the grease cools and solidifies further down the line where the hot water never reaches.
  • Bathroom Drains.

Hair is the number one cause of a bathroom clog. It tangles around the crossbar inside the drain and traps soap scum and toothpaste residue until things shut down completely. Shower drains, bathtub drains, and bathroom sinks all deal with it. In a busy household, bathroom drains may need clearing once or twice a year just to keep up.
  • Main Sewer Line Backups.

When more than one drain in your home is slow or backing up, the problem is usually the main line running from your house to the city connection. Common causes out here include tree roots growing into pipe joints (they chase moisture in the dry soil), pipe bellying from ground movement, heavy grease accumulation, and deterioration in older pipes.
  • Slow Drains.

A drain that is not fully clogged but moves slower than it should is a sign of partial blockage or mineral buildup. Left alone, it usually turns into a full clog within weeks. Catching it early is cheaper and faster, and it saves you the mess of a complete backup.
  • Recurring Clogs.

If you have cleared the same drain more than once and it keeps returning, the clog is a symptom of something deeper. The cause could be mineral scale narrowing the pipe, a bellied section, root intrusion, or a partial collapse. A camera inspection shows exactly what’s going on, so we fix the cause instead of treating the symptom over and over.
  • Foul Drain Odors.

Sewer-gas smells usually point to a dried-out P-trap, a cracked vent pipe, or organic material decomposing in the line. Sometimes the fix is as simple as running water in a drain you rarely use. Other times it takes cleaning or a repair. Either way, sewer gas carries hydrogen sulfide and methane, so it is not something to ignore.

The Clog Stops Here.

That clog has met its match. Whether it’s a slow kitchen sink or a main line backing up, we’ll get a licensed plumber to your door to find the cause and clear the line, usually in a single visit.

You get an upfront price before any work starts, and no surprise bill after. If we don’t fix it right, you don’t pay. Call us anytime, or contact us online, and we’ll take it from here.
