Our Heating Services in Lancaster, CA

People who don’t live here picture the Antelope Valley as nothing but heat. Then the sun goes down in January and the temperature drops into the 30s. A furnace that has sat untouched since spring suddenly has to do its job. When it can’t keep up, a cold desert night gets uncomfortable fast.

Arctic Air keeps that from happening. We’re a residential HVAC company based in Lancaster, and we’ve kept homes across the valley warm for over twenty years. We take care of your heating system through its whole life. When it quits on the coldest night, we repair it. When a furnace is finally worn out, we replace it. And a seasonal tune-up keeps yours running, so you’re ready before you need it. Turns out the company named for the Arctic is pretty good at keeping you warm, too.

Call us anytime at (661) 214-8018. We answer 24/7, including the nights your heat quits.

Whether your furnace stopped working this morning or you’re getting ahead of winter, here is how we keep Antelope Valley homes warm.

  • Furnace Repair

: Fast fixes for no heat, air that never warms up, short cycling, a burner that won’t light, or a strange smell when the heat kicks on. We diagnose what failed and explain the fix before we start. Most repairs are done in a single visit.
  • Furnace Installation & Replacement

: An honest read on whether a furnace past 15 to 20 years is still worth keeping. When it’s time to replace, we size the system to your home and install it right. A newer high-efficiency furnace heats more evenly and costs less to run.
  • Furnace Maintenance & Tune-Ups

: The pre-season visit that clears out idle-time dust and catches small problems before the first cold snap. On gas heat it includes the safety check that matters most.

Not sure where your furnace stands? Tell us what it’s doing and we’ll point you to the right heating service, from an emergency repair tonight to a tune-up before the first cold snap.

Heating Systems We Work On

Homes across the valley are heated in different ways, whether you call it a furnace or a heater, and we service all of them.

  • Gas furnaces: the most common heating system here. They burn natural gas for strong, fast heat, and they need periodic service to run safely and efficiently.
  • Electric furnaces: a common choice in homes without a gas line. They are simpler, with no combustion, but they work hard on the coldest nights, so maintenance keeps energy costs down.
  • Heat pumps: a single system that handles both heating and cooling by moving heat rather than burning fuel. They are efficient and increasingly common in newer High Desert homes. See our heat pump repair services.

We repair and maintain all the major brands, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, York, Bosch, Rheem, American Standard, Amana, Frigidaire, and more.

Why Your Home's Heating System Gets Tested in the High Desert

Desert heating runs on a different rhythm than the rest of California. The same clear skies and elevation that make summer afternoons blazing also let heat escape fast after sunset. Winter nights routinely drop into the 30s, and below freezing during a cold snap. The daily swing can top 40 degrees, so a furnace goes from sitting idle to running hard the same evening.

The bigger issue is idle time. Out here a furnace can sit unused for six or seven months, then get asked to run for hours on the first genuinely cold night. That first heavy load is exactly when a neglected system tends to fail. A worn igniter or a clogged filter finally gives out under the strain.

This is one reason why a fall tune-up can be valuable.

Furnace Safety
Is Worth Taking Seriously

A gas furnace burns fuel inside your home, so keeping it maintained is partly about keeping it safe. The main concern is the heat exchanger, the part that separates combustion gases from the air you breathe. If the heat exchanger cracks with age, it can let carbon monoxide into your home. Carbon monoxide is colorless and odorless, which is what makes an annual inspection worthwhile.

During a heating tune-up we inspect the heat exchanger, burners, and venting, and we test for carbon monoxide. Between visits, a few warning signs are worth knowing. The clearest is a burner flame that burns yellow or orange instead of a steady blue. Soot or streaking around the furnace is another. And in more serious cases, headaches or nausea that appear only when the heat is running are a real red flag. If you notice any of these, shut the furnace off and call us. Note: a working carbon monoxide detector on every floor is an inexpensive way to help keep your family safe.

Called @ 4pm with a non emergency repair. My plumbing was completely repaired the very next day. Professional, friendly and a pure delight to work with. In the end I included an annual service. Josh and Jonathan are the best. Being able to trust the work and the people is everything. I understand all the 5 star reviews. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

They just keep getting better! I know it can be difficult in these times to trust companies to truly take care of you, do solid work, all at a fair price, but this company does! Had Joe come out and inspect my A/C unit. He was very thoughtful, complete and accommodating. 5 star is not enough. He gave some great recommendations without any high pressure sales and I am completely happy with adding these features to my home through the best A/C company I have worked with by far. Call them, use them and find trust again! Thank you Joe!

I have used these guys several times and they are great. Highly recommend. Today, Joseph didn't disappoint. He explained everything clearly. Great experience. He warned us about old components that need to be replaced and gave us estimates and the approximate time it takes to complete each job. For HVAC and plumbing I recommend Artic Air.

Jonathan was amazing! I live out of the state so he was in the house without super. He called, texted, and FaceTimed me during work. He took before pictures and provided plenty of videos of his work and sent them to me as things were being fixed. He was very knowledgeable and showed a deep concern for me as the customer. He displayed exceptional customer service and didn’t appear to inflate costs or try to push services that I didn’t need. He was honest and did a great job! Artic Air communicated with me and was able to get my issues resolved within 24 hours of me scheduling the appointment. I would definitely recommend Artic Air and Jonathan specifically!!

I can't say enough about Arctic air! We live way up in the mountains in Tehachapi, and they had no problem coming to our house. They are high-tech, personable, efficient and extremely professional. Both Gabriel and Lazaro were amazing, diagnosed the problem, did some troubleshooting, and took care of everything. They even had recommendations for what to do in the near future. I will not hesitate to call them again or to recommend them fully! Well done guys!!

Miguel was nice but the service itself definitely seemed like a scam. Had I known he wasn’t going to do anything I would have never agreed to pay the $99. He attempted to charge almost $1400 to replace 4 items that cost around $120 for all. He informed me that labor itself was $180. I then asked how much it would be if I aid for the parts separate and just paid the labor. Mind you this was after I paid the $99 and he sent me an invoice that totaled to $522. I don’t see how the labor went up that much when he’s servicing the same parts. This company definitely does not seem like an honest company nor is it reasonable. For that amount I could just buy a new one. I asked for the parts I needed and it literally came out to $120.44 for all 4 parts. I also did review the invoice and there’s no detailed price aside anything. I understand this is a business but this seems beyond unreasonable and a waste a money. I will not be recommending and I hope you learn to do right by your customers.

Our 24 year old wall heater was replaced Dec 22 2025 by Samuel and Miguel. They were on time, finished in shorter time than estimated, clean, professional, and provided lots of answers to our multiple questions.
The gentleman that came out the week before to diagnose the problem gave us same info as the So Cal Gas representative. But, in addition to saying we were fortunate to be alive and should keep the heater pilot off, he came back the next day with a portable heater for our use until new heater could be installed on Monday .
Photos are of clean paper placed from front door to wall heater site

Why Homeowners Choose Arctic Air

Heat is easy to take for granted until you really need it. When that happens, you want a company that always answers the phone and is committed to getting your heat back on asap. Here is what you get with us:

  • 24/7 service. When your heat quits on a freezing night, we answer the phone around the clock, weekends and holidays included.
  • Honest, upfront pricing. The price we quote is the price you pay, with no surprises added at the end.
  • Every brand, every system. Gas, electric, or heat pump, we service them all.
  • Safety-first HVAC technicians. On gas heat we get the combustion and venting right, so your furnace is safe as well as warm.
  • Over twenty years in the Antelope Valley. We know how High Desert winters treat a heating system and what tends to go wrong out here.

That adds up to reliable heat and honest advice from a crew that takes your home comfort seriously.

Protect Your Heating System With Regular Maintenance

A furnace is one of the more expensive systems in your home, and a yearly tune-up is the cheapest way to protect it.

A pre-season visit clears out the dust that built up while the furnace sat idle and gets it running efficiently again. It also catches small problems while they are still cheap to fix, so you are far less likely to lose heat on a freezing night. On gas heat, it includes the safety check that matters most.

See our furnace maintenance page for what a visit covers.
