Do NOT use this company!
A picture is worth a thousand words - please read this and check out my pictures before you call this company! We have been customers of Arctic Air for years and this is the installation they performed at our home. Incomplete wiring, pieces taped in place, instead of fully removing the old unit the new swamp cooler is taped to pieces of the old unit - since this was done on our roof, we might have never known how bad the installation was but it caused a leak in our living room and we’ve been stuck in a nightmare ever since.
If we want repairs done through them then we just need to sign a form releasing them of all liability - would you sign off on a company that performed THIS work to come fix it?
• This was installed 6/6
• Arctic Air performed repairs on the new unit on 6/8 (it was flooding our side yard due to an incorrect valve placement)
• There was a leak in our living room on 6/14 and an Arctic Air tech confirmed it was their responsibility and management would follow up
To date, we are still going back and forth while things stay broken and damaged in our home. Save yourself this trouble!

Called @ 4pm with a non emergency repair. My plumbing was completely repaired the very next day. Professional, friendly and a pure delight to work with. In the end I included an annual service. I have used these guys several times and they are great. Highly recommend. Today, Joseph didn't disappoint. He explained everything clearly. Great experience. He warned us about old components that need to be replaced and gave us estimates and the approximate time it takes to complete each job. For HVAC and plumbing I recommend Artic Air.

Jonathan was amazing! I live out of the state so he was in the house without super. He called, texted, and FaceTimed me during work. He took before pictures and provided plenty of videos of his work and sent them to me as things were being fixed. He was very knowledgeable and showed a deep concern for me as the customer. He displayed exceptional customer service and didn’t appear to inflate costs or try to push services that I didn’t need. He was honest and did a great job! Artic Air communicated with me and was able to get my issues resolved within 24 hours of me scheduling the appointment. I would definitely recommend Artic Air and Jonathan specifically!!

I can't say enough about Arctic air! We live way up in the mountains in Tehachapi, and they had no problem coming to our house. They are high-tech, personable, efficient and extremely professional. Both Gabriel and Lazaro were amazing, diagnosed the problem, did some troubleshooting, and took care of everything. They even had recommendations for what to do in the near future. I will not hesitate to call them again or to recommend them fully! Well done guys!!

Miguel was nice but the service itself definitely seemed like a scam. Had I known he wasn’t going to do anything I would have never agreed to pay the $99. He attempted to charge almost $1400 to replace 4 items that cost around $120 for all. He informed me that labor itself was $180. I then asked how much it would be if I aid for the parts separate and just paid the labor. Mind you this was after I paid the $99 and he sent me an invoice that totaled to $522. I don’t see how the labor went up that much when he’s servicing the same parts. This company definitely does not seem like an honest company nor is it reasonable. For that amount I could just buy a new one. I asked for the parts I needed and it literally came out to $120.44 for all 4 parts. I also did review the invoice and there’s no detailed price aside anything. I understand this is a business but this seems beyond unreasonable and a waste a money. I will not be recommending and I hope you learn to do right by your customers.

Our 24 year old wall heater was replaced Dec 22 2025 by Samuel and Miguel. They were on time, finished in shorter time than estimated, clean, professional, and provided lots of answers to our multiple questions.
The gentleman that came out the week before to diagnose the problem gave us same info as the So Cal Gas representative. But, in addition to saying we were fortunate to be alive and should keep the heater pilot off, he came back the next day with a portable heater for our use until new heater could be installed on Monday .

Why the High Country Is Hard on Lake Hughes Homes
Lake Hughes sits high in the Sierra Pelona, up in the pines of the Angeles National Forest and about as far from town as the Antelope Valley gets. Homes here are rural and spread out, most on their own well and septic, many of them cabins and weekend places. The elevation, the forest, and the fire season all leave their mark on a home:
- Cold winters with real snow. At better than 3,200 feet, winter is the long season up here. Night temps fall well below freezing. Measurable snow lands most winters. Your furnace carries the house for months on end. A failure during the dead of winter leaves you cold and a long way from help.
- Fire season and smoke. This is fire country. The 2020 Lake Fire started right here. The Angeles National Forest around town can catch fire in a dry summer. When the smoke rolls in, it fouls your AC filters and pulls fine ash into the house. A clean system and a fresh filter go a long way toward keeping the indoor air breathable.
- Hard water from a private well. Nearly every home up here draws from its own well. That mountain water runs hard with minerals. The minerals settle as scale inside your water heater and slowly narrow your pipes. A worn out water heater is one of the most common calls we get up here.
- Freeze-prone pipes. Homes sit far apart on big rural lots. At this elevation, an unprotected line can freeze and split on a cold night. A break in the line can go unnoticed until it soaks the ground or drops your water pressure.
- Cabins and seasonal homes. Lake Hughes grew up as a lake retreat. A good share of its houses are still cabins and weekend homes. A system left idle for months can seize up or spring a leak the moment it’s fired back up. We look these homes’ systems over and get them running properly before the season turns.
