A picture is worth a thousand words - please read this and check out my pictures before you call this company! We have been customers of Arctic Air for years and this is the installation they performed at our home. Incomplete wiring, pieces taped in place, instead of fully removing the old unit the new swamp cooler is taped to pieces of the old unit - since this was done on our roof, we might have never known how bad the installation was but it caused a leak in our living room and we’ve been stuck in a nightmare ever since.
If we want repairs done through them then we just need to sign a form releasing them of all liability - would you sign off on a company that performed THIS work to come fix it?
• This was installed 6/6
• Arctic Air performed repairs on the new unit on 6/8 (it was flooding our side yard due to an incorrect valve placement)
• There was a leak in our living room on 6/14 and an Arctic Air tech confirmed it was their responsibility and management would follow up
To date, we are still going back and forth while things stay broken and damaged in our home. Save yourself this trouble!

Thanks for the response Arctic Air - as of 07/08/26, our request was not approved by management. If they have changed their mind, we would appreciate a commitment in writing (via email).

They just keep getting better! I know it can be difficult in these times to trust companies to truly take care of you, do solid work, all at a fair price, but this company does! Had Joe come out and inspect my A/C unit. He was very thoughtful, complete and accommodating. 5 star is not enough. He gave some great recommendations without any high pressure sales and I am completely happy with adding these features to my home through the best A/C company I have worked with by far. Call them, use them and find trust again! Thank you Joe!

The gentleman that came out the week before to diagnose the problem gave us same info as the So Cal Gas representative. But, in addition to saying we were fortunate to be alive and should keep the heater pilot off, he came back the next day with a portable heater for our use until new heater could be installed on Monday .

The Desert Is Hard on Antelope Acres Homes
Antelope Acres puts real strain on a home’s heating, cooling, and plumbing. The community sits on the flat, open floor of the Antelope Valley. Homes here take the full force of the desert sun, the winter cold, and the wind. Many properties run on their own well and septic. These conditions grind on a home’s systems harder than a mild climate ever would. A few desert realities are behind most of our calls out here.
- Long, hot summers. On the open valley floor, summer comes early and lingers late. Afternoon highs push well past 100. The flat land offers no shade at all. Your air conditioner answers by running most of the day. Months of that hard duty age the equipment fast.
- Cold, open winters. Once the sun drops, the open desert gives its heat right back. Winter lows here settle below freezing on a regular basis. A heater rests all summer, then gets pushed hard the first cold week. Out on an exposed lot, unprotected pipes are the first thing to freeze.
- Wind with nothing to stop it. Nothing on this flat land slows the wind down. It sweeps straight across the valley and picks up dust off the open fields. All that grit collects in your AC coils and chokes the filters. A yearly tune-up clears the buildup and protects your airflow.
- Hard water and private wells. Valley groundwater carries a heavy load of minerals. A private well tends to run harder than the local supply. Over time, that mineral scale builds up in your pipes, water heater, and fixtures. It is why a tired water heater is such a common call out here.
- Big farm and ranch parcels. Most properties out here are big. Plenty are working farms and ranches. Water and sewer lines stretch a long way underground. Many homes sit on a septic system rather than a city sewer. All that buried distance is why we run so many leak, drain, and sewer-line calls in Antelope Acres.
The desert tests your systems more than most places do. Regular maintenance and honest advice keep you ahead of it.
