A picture is worth a thousand words - please read this and check out my pictures before you call this company! We have been customers of Arctic Air for years and this is the installation they performed at our home. Incomplete wiring, pieces taped in place, instead of fully removing the old unit the new swamp cooler is taped to pieces of the old unit - since this was done on our roof, we might have never known how bad the installation was but it caused a leak in our living room and we’ve been stuck in a nightmare ever since.
If we want repairs done through them then we just need to sign a form releasing them of all liability - would you sign off on a company that performed THIS work to come fix it?
• This was installed 6/6
• Arctic Air performed repairs on the new unit on 6/8 (it was flooding our side yard due to an incorrect valve placement)
• There was a leak in our living room on 6/14 and an Arctic Air tech confirmed it was their responsibility and management would follow up
To date, we are still going back and forth while things stay broken and damaged in our home. Save yourself this trouble!

Thanks for the response Arctic Air - as of 07/08/26, our request was not approved by management. If they have changed their mind, we would appreciate a commitment in writing (via email).

They just keep getting better! I know it can be difficult in these times to trust companies to truly take care of you, do solid work, all at a fair price, but this company does! Had Joe come out and inspect my A/C unit. He was very thoughtful, complete and accommodating. 5 star is not enough. He gave some great recommendations without any high pressure sales and I am completely happy with adding these features to my home through the best A/C company I have worked with by far. Call them, use them and find trust again! Thank you Joe!

The gentleman that came out the week before to diagnose the problem gave us same info as the So Cal Gas representative. But, in addition to saying we were fortunate to be alive and should keep the heater pilot off, he came back the next day with a portable heater for our use until new heater could be installed on Monday .

The Mountains Are Hard on Elizabeth Lake Homes
- Cold, snowy winters. Winter is the real test up here. Nights fall well below freezing. Snow settles over the community some years. A furnace has to work hard and stay reliable through it all. A heater failure in January is no small problem at this elevation.
- Warm summers, cooler than the valley. Summers up here are milder than the desert floor below. Even so, the afternoon sun still pushes temperatures into the 80s and 90s. A working air conditioner keeps the house livable on the hottest days. A summer tune-up makes sure it’s ready when you need it.
- Trees and their roots. The Angeles National Forest surrounds Elizabeth Lake. Mature trees stand on many properties. Their roots reach for buried sewer and drain lines and crack into them over time. That root intrusion drives many of our drain and sewer calls up here.
- Hard well water. Most homes here pull water from a private well or a small mountain system. That water runs hard, thick with minerals. Those minerals build up as scale and shorten the life of your water heater. We replace a lot of water heaters worn out before their time up here.
- Rural canyons on the fault. Elizabeth Lake lies right along the San Andreas Fault. The lake itself fills a sag pond on the fault line. The ground in fault country shifts over the years. That movement stresses buried pipes and slab foundations. Long rural lines and septic systems add to what can go wrong out here.
