AC, Heating & Plumbing in Lake Los Angeles, CA
Lake Los Angeles bakes in the summer, and your AC has to keep up. We handle air conditioning, heating, and plumbing with fast, licensed, no-surprise service.
Reliable HVAC & Plumbing Services for Lake Los Angeles Homeowners
Back in 1967, developers dug a lake here and named the town for it. The water was gone by the 1980s. Today Lake Los Angeles sits on open high desert, 17 miles east of Palmdale.
Arctic Air & Plumbing keeps these desert homes comfortable through blazing summers and cold desert nights. We’re a residential HVAC and plumbing company based in Lancaster, and we’ve served the Antelope Valley since 2009. One team handles it all: your AC, your furnace, your water heater, and your drains. When the AC quits in a July heat wave or a pipe lets go overnight, we make the drive out and get your home working properly again.
AC, Heating & Plumbing Services in Lake Los Angeles
Arctic Air & Plumbing gives Lake Los Angeles one team for the whole job. Our full HVAC service keeps the AC ready for the summer heat and the furnace ready for cold desert nights. Our plumbers look after the water heater, the drains, and the long lines out across a big desert lot. Here’s what we take care of.
Air Conditioning
Out here the AC runs from spring clear into October. The summer heat is relentless. When it quits, our HVAC technicians get most repairs done in one visit. A yearly tune-up keeps it from dying on the hottest afternoon of the year.
- Air Conditioning Repair
- AC Installation and Replacement
- Central Air, Ductless Mini-Splits, and Heat Pumps

Heating
The desert flips cold fast once the sun drops. Winter nights fall below freezing. When your furnace won’t keep up, call the team at Arctic and we’ll get the heat back on. A fall tune-up catches a weak part before the first hard freeze.
- Furnace Repair
- Furnace Installation and Replacement
- Heat Pump Service
- Heating Maintenance and Tune-Ups
Plumbing
Hard desert water is tough on Lake Los Angeles plumbing. Our plumbers see what it does to a home out here. Scale builds up inside the water heater and the pipes. Out on a big lot, a leak can run a long time before you notice. We stay on top of both.

Why Lake Los Angeles Homeowners Rely on Arctic Air
Out here, word travels. Lake Los Angeles is a tight desert community. Folks trade names for a good plumber or AC tech at the feed store and the school pickup line. Ours keeps coming up. We answer when you call, and we get the job done right. We’ve earned that reputation since 2009, one repair at a time. Here’s why homeowners rely on Arctic Air.
- HVAC and plumbing under one roof. One trusted team takes care of nearly everything your home needs, so you’re not juggling three different companies.
- Serving the Antelope Valley since 2009. We’ve spent years learning how the desert treats a home out here, and we bring that experience to every Lake Los Angeles call.
- Honest, upfront pricing. The price we quote is the price you pay, with no surprise charges added after the work is done.
- Straight answers, no pressure. We explain what’s wrong in plain terms and lay out your options fairly, whether that’s a simple repair or a full replacement. No scare tactics.
- Every major brand and system. Our HVAC technicians and plumbers work on all makes and models.
- 24/7 availability. A heat wave at midnight or a pipe that bursts before dawn needs an answer now, so we answer the phone around the clock.
The drive out to the east valley doesn’t faze us. We show up when we say we will, and we stand behind every repair. That’s how a company earns its name out here. We’ve earned ours the same way.

A picture is worth a thousand words - please read this and check out my pictures before you call this company! We have been customers of Arctic Air for years and this is the installation they performed at our home. Incomplete wiring, pieces taped in place, instead of fully removing the old unit the new swamp cooler is taped to pieces of the old unit - since this was done on our roof, we might have never known how bad the installation was but it caused a leak in our living room and we’ve been stuck in a nightmare ever since.
If we want repairs done through them then we just need to sign a form releasing them of all liability - would you sign off on a company that performed THIS work to come fix it?
• This was installed 6/6
• Arctic Air performed repairs on the new unit on 6/8 (it was flooding our side yard due to an incorrect valve placement)
• There was a leak in our living room on 6/14 and an Arctic Air tech confirmed it was their responsibility and management would follow up
To date, we are still going back and forth while things stay broken and damaged in our home. Save yourself this trouble!

Thanks for the response Arctic Air - as of 07/08/26, our request was not approved by management. If they have changed their mind, we would appreciate a commitment in writing (via email).

They just keep getting better! I know it can be difficult in these times to trust companies to truly take care of you, do solid work, all at a fair price, but this company does! Had Joe come out and inspect my A/C unit. He was very thoughtful, complete and accommodating. 5 star is not enough. He gave some great recommendations without any high pressure sales and I am completely happy with adding these features to my home through the best A/C company I have worked with by far. Call them, use them and find trust again! Thank you Joe!

The gentleman that came out the week before to diagnose the problem gave us same info as the So Cal Gas representative. But, in addition to saying we were fortunate to be alive and should keep the heater pilot off, he came back the next day with a portable heater for our use until new heater could be installed on Monday .

Why the Open Desert Is Hard on Lake Los Angeles Homes
Lake Los Angeles sits on open high desert at the far east end of the Antelope Valley, around 2,660 feet. Homes here are spread thin across big lots, exposed on every side, most of them on a slab foundation. The heat, the cold, the wind, and the hard water all wear on a home out here:
- Long, exposed summers. Summer afternoons out here run past 100 degrees, with no shade and no ocean breeze to take the edge off. The AC runs for hours at a stretch, week after week. That kind of load wears down parts faster than a milder climate ever would.
- Freezing nights and big swings. The same open ground bakes all day and gives the heat right back after dark. A 100-degree afternoon can drop toward freezing by dawn. Your furnace has to cover that swing all winter, so it earns its keep out here.
- Wind and dust off the dry lake. The old lakebed and the open desert around it turn to fine dust. The east-valley wind picks it up and drives it for miles. That grit sandblasts the AC condenser and buries the filter. It works its way inside the house, too. A clean system and a fresh filter are what keep the air cool and the dust out.
- Hard desert water. The groundwater out here runs hard, thick with the minerals left in old desert soil. Those minerals settle as scale inside your water heater and slowly close up your pipes. A water heater worn out before its time is one of the most common calls we run out here.
- Shifting desert ground. The soil out here swells and settles as the rare rains come and go. Over the years, that movement pushes and pulls at buried pipes and the slab under your house. It drives a lot of our slab-leak and sewer-line calls out here.
These are just the facts of desert living out here. None of them get the better of a well-kept home. We lean on regular maintenance and straight advice built on years in this desert, not quick guesses. Catch the small stuff early and it stays small. That’s how we look after every Lake Los Angeles home.
