A picture is worth a thousand words - please read this and check out my pictures before you call this company! We have been customers of Arctic Air for years and this is the installation they performed at our home. Incomplete wiring, pieces taped in place, instead of fully removing the old unit the new swamp cooler is taped to pieces of the old unit - since this was done on our roof, we might have never known how bad the installation was but it caused a leak in our living room and we’ve been stuck in a nightmare ever since.
If we want repairs done through them then we just need to sign a form releasing them of all liability - would you sign off on a company that performed THIS work to come fix it?

• Arctic Air performed repairs on the new unit on 6/8 (it was flooding our side yard due to an incorrect valve placement)
• There was a leak in our living room on 6/14 and an Arctic Air tech confirmed it was their responsibility and management would follow up
To date, we are still going back and forth while things stay broken and damaged in our home. Save yourself this trouble!

They just keep getting better! I know it can be difficult in these times to trust companies to truly take care of you, do solid work, all at a fair price, but this company does! Had Joe come out and inspect my A/C unit. He was very thoughtful, complete and accommodating. 5 star is not enough. He gave some great recommendations without any high pressure sales and I am completely happy with adding these features to my home through the best A/C company I have worked with by far. Call them, use them and find trust again! Thank you Joe!
The gentleman that came out the week before to diagnose the problem gave us same info as the So Cal Gas representative. But, in addition to saying we were fortunate to be alive and should keep the heater pilot off, he came back the next day with a portable heater for our use until new heater could be installed on Monday .

The High Desert Is Hard on Rosamond Homes
Rosamond asks a lot of a home’s heating, cooling, and plumbing systems. Desert conditions wear those systems down faster than a milder climate would. A few desert realities drive most of the calls we get out here.
- Long, punishing summers. Rosamond sits in the Mojave high desert, and summer afternoons routinely climb past 100 degrees. Air conditioners here run for hours at a stretch, day after day, which wears down parts faster than the milder climates these units are often rated for.
- Cold desert winters. At about 2,500 feet of elevation, Rosamond nights drop below freezing through the winter, so a working furnace or heat pump isn’t optional. A heater that sat idle all summer gets its real test on the first cold snap of the season.
- Hard water. Antelope Valley groundwater is hard, carrying the calcium and magnesium left behind by ancient desert lakebeds, and those minerals leave scale inside water heaters, pipes, and fixtures. That buildup shortens the life of a hot water heater and slowly chokes plumbing, which is why water heater trouble is one of the most common calls we get here.
- Shifting, expansive soil. Parts of Rosamond sit on clay-heavy soil that swells and contracts as moisture changes. That movement stresses buried pipes and slab foundations, and it’s a leading cause of the slab leaks and sewer-line problems we’re called out to fix.
- Relentless wind and blowing dust. Rosamond sits near the Tehachapi and Mojave wind corridor, some of the windiest country in California, and that steady wind packs AC condenser coils and clogs filters with fine desert dust, cutting airflow and forcing systems to work harder than they should.
