AC, Heating & Plumbing in Mojave, CA
Mojave's wind and desert extremes are hard on any home's comfort systems. Our licensed techs deliver fast AC, heating, and plumbing help with a fix that lasts.
Reliable HVAC & Plumbing Services for Mojave Homeowners
Mojave is a desert crossroads with a story bigger than its size. It’s home to the Mojave Air and Space Port, the first inland spaceport in the country. Flight-test crews and rocket builders work out here. Rows of retired airliners bake in the sun on the field’s edge. The town sits up Highway 14 in Kern County, about 25 miles north of Lancaster.
Arctic Air & Plumbing keeps Mojave homes comfortable through hot summers and cold desert nights. We’re a residential HVAC and plumbing company based in Lancaster, and we’ve served the high desert since 2009. One team handles all of it: your AC, your furnace, your water heater, and your drains. When the AC quits in the summer heat or a pipe gives out overnight, we make the drive up and get your home working properly again.
AC, Heating & Plumbing Services in Mojave
Arctic Air & Plumbing brings full HVAC and plumbing service up Highway 14 to Mojave. On the HVAC side, we keep your AC going through the summer heat and your furnace steady on cold desert nights. Our plumbers handle the water heater, the drains, and the rest of your home’s plumbing. Here’s what we take care of.
Air Conditioning
Out here the sun is brutal. The AC runs from morning to night all summer. When it gives out, our HVAC technicians get most repairs done in one visit. A yearly tune-up keeps a small problem from becoming a no-cooling call in July.
- Air Conditioning Repair
- AC Installation and Replacement
- Central Air, Ductless Mini-Splits, and Heat Pumps
- Seasonal AC Maintenance and Tune-Ups
Heating
Winter mornings in Mojave start below freezing. The wind makes the cold bite harder. When your furnace can’t keep up, call Arctic and we’ll have the heat running again. A fall tune-up finds the weak spots before the real cold sets in.
- Furnace Repair
- Furnace Installation and Replacement
- Heat Pump Service
- Heating Maintenance and Tune-Ups
Plumbing
Mojave’s hard water keeps our plumbers busy out here. It leaves scale in the water heater and the pipes, year after year. On a big desert lot, a slow leak can hide for weeks before anyone spots it. We catch it early where we can.
- Emergency Plumbing
- Water Heater Repair and Replacement
- Tankless Water Heater Installation
- Leak Detection Services
- Slab Leak Detection and Repair
- Drain Cleaning
- Sewer Line Repair and Installation
- Trenchless Sewer Line Installation
- Sewer Camera Inspections
- Gas Line Repair and Installation
- Toilet Repair and Installation
- Sink Repair and Installation
- Garbage Disposal Services
All of your cooling, heating, and plumbing needs under one roof. Arctic Air & Plumbing has you covered.
Why Mojave Homeowners Rely on Arctic Air
Mojave sits at the far north end of our map, a good drive up Highway 14 from Lancaster. Plenty of companies won’t come this far. We do, and we’ve done it since 2009. Call any hour and we answer. You get the price up front, before we touch a thing. If a repair doesn’t hold, we come back and make it right. Here’s why Mojave homeowners rely on us.
- HVAC and plumbing under one roof. One trusted team takes care of nearly everything your home needs, so you’re not juggling three different companies.
- Serving the high desert since 2009. We’ve spent years learning how the desert treats a home out here, and we bring that experience to every Mojave call.
- Honest, upfront pricing. The price we quote is the price you pay, with no surprise charges added after the work is done.
- Straight answers, no pressure. We explain what’s wrong in plain terms and lay out your options fairly, whether that’s a simple repair or a full replacement. No scare tactics.
- Every major brand and system. Our HVAC technicians and plumbers work on all makes and models.
- 24/7 availability. A heat wave at midnight or a pipe that bursts before dawn needs an answer now, so we answer the phone around the clock.
Out here at the edge of the map, we work the same way we would next door. We answer when you call. We quote straight, and we finish the job right. Do that long enough and folks remember. That’s how we’ve kept Mojave calling since 2009.

A picture is worth a thousand words - please read this and check out my pictures before you call this company! We have been customers of Arctic Air for years and this is the installation they performed at our home. Incomplete wiring, pieces taped in place, instead of fully removing the old unit the new swamp cooler is taped to pieces of the old unit - since this was done on our roof, we might have never known how bad the installation was but it caused a leak in our living room and we’ve been stuck in a nightmare ever since.
If we want repairs done through them then we just need to sign a form releasing them of all liability - would you sign off on a company that performed THIS work to come fix it?
• This was installed 6/6
• Arctic Air performed repairs on the new unit on 6/8 (it was flooding our side yard due to an incorrect valve placement)
• There was a leak in our living room on 6/14 and an Arctic Air tech confirmed it was their responsibility and management would follow up
To date, we are still going back and forth while things stay broken and damaged in our home. Save yourself this trouble!

Thanks for the response Arctic Air - as of 07/08/26, our request was not approved by management. If they have changed their mind, we would appreciate a commitment in writing (via email).

They just keep getting better! I know it can be difficult in these times to trust companies to truly take care of you, do solid work, all at a fair price, but this company does! Had Joe come out and inspect my A/C unit. He was very thoughtful, complete and accommodating. 5 star is not enough. He gave some great recommendations without any high pressure sales and I am completely happy with adding these features to my home through the best A/C company I have worked with by far. Call them, use them and find trust again! Thank you Joe!

The gentleman that came out the week before to diagnose the problem gave us same info as the So Cal Gas representative. But, in addition to saying we were fortunate to be alive and should keep the heater pilot off, he came back the next day with a portable heater for our use until new heater could be installed on Monday .

Why the Desert and the Wind Are Hard on Mojave Homes
Mojave sits in the open western Mojave Desert at about 2,760 feet, out where the wind rarely quits. Homes here are spread across the flats with nothing to break the weather. The heat, the cold, and above all the wind put real wear on a home out here:
- Long, hard summers. July afternoons push into the high 90s and higher. The desert sun is unforgiving. The AC runs all day to hold the house, month after month. All that runtime takes years off a system.
- Cold desert nights. The desert bakes by day and turns cold after dark. Winter mornings start below freezing. Your furnace works as hard in January as the AC did in July. An unchecked heater can pick the worst morning to quit.
- The relentless wind. Mojave sits in one of the windiest corridors in the state, strong enough to power the turbine farms on the ridgelines. Day after day it batters everything outdoors, including your AC condenser and anything loose on the roof. That constant load is hard on a system. It’s part of why equipment ages fast out here.
- Hard desert water. Mojave’s water comes up hard, heavy with the minerals of the deep desert. That mineral load settles as scale in your water heater and slowly chokes the pipes. Worn-out water heaters are steady work for us here.
- Blowing sand and grit. All that wind carries fine sand off the open desert floor. It grinds into the AC coils and packs a filter solid in no time. What doesn’t stick outside drifts indoors and settles through the house. Staying ahead of it takes a clean system and filters changed on schedule.
Out here, the heat and the wind are just part of the deal. We plan for them. A quick service call before summer and before winter keeps a small issue from stranding you at 100 degrees or 25. That kind of steady upkeep beats an emergency every time. We look after every Mojave home with that in mind.
