A picture is worth a thousand words - please read this and check out my pictures before you call this company! We have been customers of Arctic Air for years and this is the installation they performed at our home. Incomplete wiring, pieces taped in place, instead of fully removing the old unit the new swamp cooler is taped to pieces of the old unit - since this was done on our roof, we might have never known how bad the installation was but it caused a leak in our living room and we’ve been stuck in a nightmare ever since.
If we want repairs done through them then we just need to sign a form releasing them of all liability - would you sign off on a company that performed THIS work to come fix it?

• Arctic Air performed repairs on the new unit on 6/8 (it was flooding our side yard due to an incorrect valve placement)
• There was a leak in our living room on 6/14 and an Arctic Air tech confirmed it was their responsibility and management would follow up

The gentleman that came out the week before to diagnose the problem gave us same info as the So Cal Gas representative. But, in addition to saying we were fortunate to be alive and should keep the heater pilot off, he came back the next day with a portable heater for our use until new heater could be installed on Monday .

How We Diagnose & Repair Your Air Conditioner
The symptom is only the starting point. Warm air could come from an airflow problem, a refrigerant problem, a failed capacitor, or something else entirely. That’s why we test the system before recommending a repair.
Depending on what the AC is doing, your technician may check the thermostat and controls, electrical readings, capacitors and contactors, airflow, temperature change across the coil, refrigerant operation, coils, motors, and condensate drainage.
Once we know what failed, we’ll explain the problem, what needs to be done, and what the repair will cost. Nothing moves forward until you approve it.
Some of the repairs we handle most often include:
Refrigerant leaks and recharge.
If the system is losing refrigerant, we look for the reason. When a leak can be repaired, the system can then be brought back to the proper refrigerant charge instead of repeatedly adding refrigerant without fixing the loss.
Compressor and capacitor problems.
We test the compressor and the electrical components that help it start and run. A bad capacitor or contactor can sometimes look like a much larger compressor problem until the system is properly tested.
Condenser and evaporator coil issues.

Why AC Systems Work Harder in the Antelope Valley
