Do NOT use this company!
A picture is worth a thousand words - please read this and check out my pictures before you call this company! We have been customers of Arctic Air for years and this is the installation they performed at our home. Incomplete wiring, pieces taped in place, instead of fully removing the old unit the new swamp cooler is taped to pieces of the old unit - since this was done on our roof, we might have never known how bad the installation was but it caused a leak in our living room and we’ve been stuck in a nightmare ever since.
If we want repairs done through them then we just need to sign a form releasing them of all liability - would you sign off on a company that performed THIS work to come fix it?
• This was installed 6/6
• Arctic Air performed repairs on the new unit on 6/8 (it was flooding our side yard due to an incorrect valve placement)
• There was a leak in our living room on 6/14 and an Arctic Air tech confirmed it was their responsibility and management would follow up
To date, we are still going back and forth while things stay broken and damaged in our home. Save yourself this trouble!

Called @ 4pm with a non emergency repair. My plumbing was completely repaired the very next day. Professional, friendly and a pure delight to work with. In the end I included an annual service. I have used these guys several times and they are great. Highly recommend. Today, Joseph didn't disappoint. He explained everything clearly. Great experience. He warned us about old components that need to be replaced and gave us estimates and the approximate time it takes to complete each job. For HVAC and plumbing I recommend Artic Air.

Jonathan was amazing! I live out of the state so he was in the house without super. He called, texted, and FaceTimed me during work. He took before pictures and provided plenty of videos of his work and sent them to me as things were being fixed. He was very knowledgeable and showed a deep concern for me as the customer. He displayed exceptional customer service and didn’t appear to inflate costs or try to push services that I didn’t need. He was honest and did a great job! Artic Air communicated with me and was able to get my issues resolved within 24 hours of me scheduling the appointment. I would definitely recommend Artic Air and Jonathan specifically!!

I can't say enough about Arctic air! We live way up in the mountains in Tehachapi, and they had no problem coming to our house. They are high-tech, personable, efficient and extremely professional. Both Gabriel and Lazaro were amazing, diagnosed the problem, did some troubleshooting, and took care of everything. They even had recommendations for what to do in the near future. I will not hesitate to call them again or to recommend them fully! Well done guys!!

Miguel was nice but the service itself definitely seemed like a scam. Had I known he wasn’t going to do anything I would have never agreed to pay the $99. He attempted to charge almost $1400 to replace 4 items that cost around $120 for all. He informed me that labor itself was $180. I then asked how much it would be if I aid for the parts separate and just paid the labor. Mind you this was after I paid the $99 and he sent me an invoice that totaled to $522. I don’t see how the labor went up that much when he’s servicing the same parts. This company definitely does not seem like an honest company nor is it reasonable. For that amount I could just buy a new one. I asked for the parts I needed and it literally came out to $120.44 for all 4 parts. I also did review the invoice and there’s no detailed price aside anything. I understand this is a business but this seems beyond unreasonable and a waste a money. I will not be recommending and I hope you learn to do right by your customers.

Our 24 year old wall heater was replaced Dec 22 2025 by Samuel and Miguel. They were on time, finished in shorter time than estimated, clean, professional, and provided lots of answers to our multiple questions.
The gentleman that came out the week before to diagnose the problem gave us same info as the So Cal Gas representative. But, in addition to saying we were fortunate to be alive and should keep the heater pilot off, he came back the next day with a portable heater for our use until new heater could be installed on Monday .

The High Desert Is Hard on Acton Homes
Acton asks a lot of a home’s heating, cooling, and plumbing. Most homes here sit on large rural lots in the foothills, plenty of them on well water and septic, and the mix of desert heat, mountain-edge elevation, and hard groundwater wears those systems down faster than a milder climate would. A few local realities drive most of the calls we get out here.
- Long, dry summers. Acton afternoons push well into the 90s and hotter through the summer, and air conditioners here run for hours at a stretch, day after day. The higher elevation cools things off at night, but it doesn’t spare a system from a punishing daytime load across the long cooling season.
- Cold nights at elevation. At about 2,700 feet in the hills between the Sierra Pelona and San Gabriel Mountains, Acton nights turn cold fast once the sun drops, and winter mornings can fall below freezing. A furnace or heat pump that sat idle all summer gets its real test on the first hard cold snap, and exposed pipes on a rural property are the first to feel it.
- Hard water, well or municipal. Water out here is hard whether it comes from the local groundwater supply or a private well on the property, and those minerals leave scale inside water heaters, pipes, and fixtures. Well water often runs harder still, which is why a failing hot water heater is one of the most common calls we get in Acton.
- Big lots and long rural lines. Many Acton homes sit on large lots with long buried supply and drain lines, and a good number run on septic rather than a city sewer. Those long runs cross more shifting ground and see bigger temperature swings, which is why leak detection, drain, and sewer-line calls are common out here.
- Wind and blowing dust. Acton sits along the Soledad Canyon corridor, where wind funnels through the passes and carries fine dust and grit off the surrounding hills. That dust packs AC condenser coils and clogs filters, cutting airflow and forcing a system to work harder than it should, which is exactly what a seasonal tune-up stays ahead of.
